  • GATE has a full form of Gratitude Aptitude Test which was started in 1983.
  • The purpose of Gate is to screen for entry-level engineering jobs and also helps for post-graduate engineering admissions.
  • GATE is basically administrated by the Indian Institute of Technology.
  • It is an engineering examination that helps to test students about his/her knowledge related to undergraduate subjects that they might have studied in their engineering degree courses.
  • The results of the GATE, It helps the students whether to continue their graduation in the master or not.
  • Nowadays the admission of a Master’s degree in engineering courses will completely depend on GATE results.
  • No 1oth,12th, and degree marks matter for writing the GATE examination.
  • But if are willing to get admission on the results of the GATE percentile then you should have at least 60% percentile in your degree, regardless of your GATE marks.
  • The duration of the GATE exam will be 3 hours.
